WAI'ALAE BEACH

This is our favorite, just fifteen minutes east of Waikiki, with scenic ocean views of swaying palm trees, and mountain craters in the distance. This is special place with palm trees close to the ocean and very few people on the sand or in the ocean. There are some grassy areas with palm trees for shade, and a small peninsula and island with palm trees for a lovely panorama for your photos. This is also a public park, with a small free parking lot, rest rooms, and some picnic tables with shade close to the beach. It is a great location for medium or larger groups of family and guests. Sunset is not directly in sight, but the light is lovely before sunset. This is our most frequently used and most highly recommended location.
